Biography

Xiaojun Mao received his Ph.D. from Iowa State University and is currently a Professor at the School of Mathematical Sciences, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His primary research focuses on distributed learning and high-dimensional statistics. He has published over 30 papers in top-tier journals and conferences including Annals of Statistics (AOS), JASA, JMLR, IEEE (TPAMI, TIT, TSP), ICML, and NeurIPS. He has been awarded the NSFC Excellent Young Scientists Fund, General Program, and Young Scientists Fund. He was selected for the China Association for Science and Technology Young Talent Support Program, the Shanghai Oriental Talent Youth Program, the Young Scientific and Technological Star Program, and the Sailing Plan. He participates in the NSFC Major Research Plan and the Shanghai Science and Technology Innovation Action Program, among others. He has served on the Early Career Advisory Board of the Journal of Multivariate Analysis.
