Shikui Tu (涂仕奎)

Biography
Shikui Tu received his Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (2012) and completed postdoctoral research at the University of Massachusetts Medical School (2012–2017). He is currently a Tenure-Track Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Assistant Director of the Cognitive Machine and Computational Health (CMaCH) Research Center in the School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering, where he coordinates interdisciplinary research and collaboration. His long-term research interests span machine learning and bioinformatics theory and methods, with cross-disciplinary applications in biochemistry and pharmaceuticals, computational finance, and integrated circuits. He has published over 100 papers in high-impact venues including Science, Cell, Nature Communications, NeurIPS, ICML, IJCAI, AAAI, and ICLR. He serves on the CCF (China Computer Federation) Bioinformatics Technical Committee and as guest editor for Frontiers in Genetics and Methods, youth editorial board member for Interdisciplinary Sciences: Computational Life Sciences, and on the program committees of ICML/NeurIPS and other top AI conferences. He has received the Wu Wenjun AI Science and Technology Award for Natural Science (Second Prize, 3rd contributor), the Shanghai Computer Society Teaching Achievement Award (First Prize, 3rd contributor), the Shanghai Teaching Achievement Award (First Prize, 7th contributor), the SJTU Teaching Achievement Award (Grand Prize, 6th contributor), the Huawei Pioneer Teacher Award, and the Huawei Spark Award. He has led two NSFC Young/General Program projects and participates in the Ministry of Science and Technology's Science and Technology Innovation 2030 — New Generation AI Major Project and the Shanghai Science Commission AI Major Project.
