From April 18-21, 2025, the "2025 Workshop on Financial Mathematics and Financial Data Processing," hosted by the School of Mathematics at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and co-organized by SJTU's Quantitative Finance Research Center and the China Academy of Financial Research, was held at SUFE's Guoding Road Campus. The event gathered over 170 participants including Academician Peng Shige, domestic and international scholars, FinTech industry representatives, and university faculty and students, for in-depth exchanges on financial derivatives pricing, AI-driven quantitative investing, and other frontier topics.

At the "FinTech and AI — Industry-Academia Cooperation" roundtable on April 19, QFRC Director Prof. Samuel Drapeau delivered a keynote titled "Quantitative Finance Research Center: Platform for Education and Research for Chinese Finance," outlining the Center's three core missions: (1) Platform-based education through the open-source Fastbox data platform, integrating "teaching-training-research" with real-time data from 15 global exchanges; (2) Scenario-based research, building industrial-grade research scenarios in collaboration with firms like Qube Research; and (3) Dual-track talent development through an innovative "academic mentor + industry mentor" mechanism.

Prof. Drapeau also highlighted Fastbox's cross-domain collaboration progress. The presentation drew enthusiastic responses from enterprise representatives including 66 Cloud Chain Technology and CFFEX. The Center will continue to deepen cooperation with peer institutions to promote Yangtze River Delta FinTech education resource sharing.
