The "Shanghai Young Scientist Rising Star Program," established by the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission in 1991, has continuously focused on nurturing and supporting outstanding young researchers under 35. Over decades of development, the program has produced remarkable results—cultivating numerous top-tier scientists and academicians, generating a series of influential innovations, and becoming the "cradle" of high-level scientific talent in Shanghai and a prestigious hallmark of the city's young scientist development.
Recently, the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission announced the list of proposed recipients for the 2023 "Science and Technology Innovation Action Plan" Rising Star Program. Among this highly anticipated list, Prof. Mao Xiaojun from the Quantitative Finance Research Center of the School of Mathematical Sciences was selected.
This selection is a strong endorsement of Prof. Mao Xiaojun's personal research capability and innovative potential, and a testament to the Center's excellence in talent development. We are confident that Prof. Mao Xiaojun will continue to make breakthroughs through the Rising Star platform, contributing further to the Center and the university.
