Recently, the School of Mathematical Sciences announced the results of its 2024 Outstanding Graduation Thesis selection. The thesis "Hallucination Generation and Detection in Large Language Models" by Xu Siliang, supervised by Prof. Xiong Dewen of the Quantitative Finance Research Center, was honored as an Outstanding Graduation Thesis.

During the supervision process, Prof. Xiong Dewen provided professional guidance and detailed methodological advice, drawing on his deep academic expertise and extensive supervisory experience. Xu Siliang tracked the academic frontier, conducting in-depth research on the critical issue of hallucination generation and detection in large language models, with results of significant academic value and practical relevance.

The thesis being named outstanding is a testament to Xu Siliang's personal effort, Prof. Xiong Dewen's dedicated mentorship, and the Center's strength in talent development and academic research.
